Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account. Your email address, your language, whether you design interiors or list homes, your currency, your plan, and your credit balance and history.
• Sign-in. Your password, stored only as a one-way hash (we can’t read it), one-time password reset links, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. Failed sign-in attempts are counted by email and network address for a day, to stop password guessing.
• Your content. The photos, sketches, 3D model screenshots and floor plans you upload, the 3D views you save, your chat messages, and the renders, disclosure packs and client proposals you create.
• Demo and wait-list requests. Your name, work email, brokerage, team or studio, role, team size, province or state, and an optional message.
• Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. Renderlii never sees or stores your card number. We keep your plan, the amount and currency, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and the payment status.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs for security.

2. Why we use your information

We use personal information for these purposes:

• Providing the service: running your renders and storing your projects.
• Sign-in, billing, support, security and abuse prevention.
• Meeting our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
• Sending service emails, including password reset links.

3. AI providers

To read your images and make renders, we send the relevant image and text to the AI provider we use, with an internal account number (never your name or email) that helps the provider spot abuse.

• OpenAI runs the chat assistant, the image model and floor-plan reading.
• We use Anthropic and fal.ai only if we enable them.

Our requests to OpenAI are sent with conversation storage turned off. Under OpenAI’s API terms, data sent through the API isn’t used to train its models unless the customer opts in. Providers may keep data for a limited time to monitor for abuse, as their terms set out.

We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t let our providers do so.

4. Who we share information with

• Service providers that process data for us: OpenAI, Anthropic, fal.ai, Stripe, Resend (for email), Vercel (hosting, in Montréal) and Supabase (database and file storage, in Canada).
• Font and code hosts. Our homepages load fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from jsDelivr. Your browser connects to them directly, so they see your network address and browser type, as with any website; they set no cookies for us and receive nothing else from us.
• Links you choose to publish. A listing photo’s disclosure page, at /o/CODE, shows the original and the edited photo to anyone who has the link, because MLS rules require it. A client proposal, at /p/CODE, is visible to anyone who has the link.
• When the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

5. Where data is processed

Your data is processed in Canada and the United States, and several of our providers are based in the United States. Before personal information leaves Québec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected.

6. How long we keep data

• We keep your information as long as your account is active.
• When you delete a project or a chat, its uploads, renders and messages are deleted from our storage right away.
• We keep payment records for 6 years, as tax law requires.
• To delete your account, email us at privacy@renderlii.com.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal information, to withdraw your consent, and to receive a copy of it in a structured, commonly used format (portability).

If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, you can ask to know, delete or correct the personal information we hold about you.

To make a request, email privacy@renderlii.com. We answer within 30 days.

You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Cookies

We use only three cookies, all of them needed for the site to work as you’d expect:

• nl_session keeps you signed in for 30 days. It is an http-only cookie, so scripts on the page can’t read it.
• nl_lang remembers your language for a year.
• nl_site remembers for a year that you came from our site for professionals, so the app shows its professional version.

Your browser also keeps your language choice in its local storage, on your device only.

We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we’ll ask for your consent first.

9. Security

We protect your information with HTTPS, by limiting access to the people who need it, and through our providers’ security controls.

10. Minimum age

Renderlii is a professional tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
